Councils to raise child care fees by up to 30pc
June 15th, 2008
From the Daily Telegraph -
Parramatta Council is proposing the biggest increase, with prices set to jump from $56 to $75 per day in the new financial year.
The rise is leading to fears that parents will hurry their children into school a year earlier than they had planned.
The proposed council fee rises come after ABC Learning confirmed it would raise fees by up to 10 per cent at its 1200 centres.

Sutherland Shire Council will be raising fees from $59 to $61.50 per day from July. Which means families will be paying up to an extra $12.50 per week, no doubt to help Council pay for “QC” sandwiches at their non-decision meetings.
