The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter” revolution yesterday — because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.
For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.
They will also provide directions to local soup kitchens for the vagrants, criminals and other freeloaders who have been descending on Zuccotti Park in increasing numbers every day.
To show they mean business, the kitchen staff refused to serve any food for two hours yesterday in order to meet with organizers to air their grievances, sources said.

Several papers reported on the tabling of the annual ASIO security report. Some outlets decided to spin a particular section of the report in order to bash those who oppose Islamisation, multiculturalism and the ‘refugee’ invasion by tarring them as Nazis or associating them with Breivik. The two most prominent misreported, misleading spins come from Dylan Welsh (SMH) and David Jean (Adelaide Now). At least 95% of the section both reports reference in the ASIO report relate to Islamic terrorism. It also includes a paragraph about ‘right-wing’ and socialist groups, including reference to tactics used by socialist groups to provoke the police. Welch includes this in his report:
”There is … a small minority who seek to use protests around a range of emotive issues to further their own (often unrelated) political agenda by provoking, inciting or engaging in violence. It is this fringe that is of concern to ASIO.”
That quote relates to ASIO assessment of left-wing groups but Welch manages to convey it’s about so called ‘right-wing’ groups. One interesting feature that both reports left out is the terrorist tactic that left-wing groups like the Socialist Alliance use when attacking police such as throwing foul liquids and “invisible weapons” such as fish hooks in order to further their victim narrative by provoking a strong response from the police.
Jean of course includes the obligatory image of Anders Breivik in his turgid report. He quotes from the report:

Which once again is in reference to left-wing groups. The fact is, is the cultural Marxists are pleased now to have a peg to hang their relativist hats on. It gives them the ability to further ignore and down play the concerns of Australia about immigration and multiculturalism and to compare them to the likes of Breivik in order to silence the debate. This vacuum is precisely what lead to the events in Oslo, they never learn – or they simply want things like that to happen.
