Boundary street Reserve looks like it could do with a spring cleaning. The council has an expansive budget for 2008/2009 in relation to parks, lets hope this reserve gets some attention.

Iemma government gouging councils on election costs.

Councils slugged more than $2m

COUNCILS have blasted the State Government for increasing the cost of staging the local government elections in September by more than 100 per cent.

The four councils in this area will be slugged a combined total of more than $2 million to go to the polls.

Ball benefits babies in need of special care

SUTHERLAND Shire Mayor David Redmond has handed over more than $16,700 to Sutherland Hospital.

The money was raised by the 2008 Sutherland Shire Mayoral Debutante Ball and will go towards purchasing a new humidicrib for the special care nursery in the hospital’s maternity unit.

Kudos to Mayor Redmond for such a generous donation that will help to save precious young lives.  Let’s hope that Morris Iemma can keep the power on, that is of course, if Morris can keep the maternity unit open.  Don’t vote Labor at the forthcoming council elections, they are wrecking NSW. Don’t let them wreck the Shire.
